I often have a second, small bag stacked on top of my laptop bag. The side opening is very helpful going through security. The biggest problem is that the feet on the bottom do not make it stable and it tips forward very easily. So I have to prop the bag against something, especially when the handle is extended. Not sure what I am going to do about that.
