Unimpressed. Period.

I was so excited when I bought this suitcase and its larger brother, the 25'. It rolls fairly nicely, but that's about it.

The two large wheels seem to be unevenly placed, and one of them almost never folds in when I try to place the suitcase in an overhead compartment. I normally have to try 3-4 times before I finally - with help from someone seated close by - manage to hold the wheels in place (manually) and push the suitcase into position simultaneously. With the wheel(s) unfolded, the suitcase does not fit in the overhead compartment.

The telescope handle collapses every few seconds when I push the suitcase in front of me (which is the only way it feels normal to push it), and this is incredibly annoying. It happens even if I apply virtually no pressure to it at all.

It appears to me as if Samsonite forgot to test this suitcase on frequent or even ordinary travelers before selling them at hundreds of dollars in stores.

Please don't buy this item.

I've just completed my second trip with R2D2. Yep, it's cute and innovative. It fits nicely into the overhead of an Embraer and is very stable (when the back wheels kick out). What's bugging me is that I feel like it wants to be pushed in front of you. When I do this the (reassuringly) chunky handle comes unclasped and the handle telescopes down. I really wish the locking mechanism was stronger. I wish this so much that I'm temped to take it apart and try to fix it myself. When I try to drag the suitcase the wheels inevitably are not harmonised (one out, the other in).

I really want this to be the greatest bag ever, but it isn't. I packed for 10 days of travel for work (not suits, but ties, slacks and dress shirts) and was amazed how wrinkle free things remained. Changing hotel rooms was a breeze because I didn't have to unpack each night.

I really just want that handle to stay extended. If anyone can help me get the bag to wrok better I'd really appreciate it.

I've owned one of these over 14 years and its still in pretty good shape, believe me it's had many many uses. Love love love it. So easy getting from one place to the next, easy rolling rather its on rough or smooth surface. It also whips around corners well. The interior has plenty of room and some. I would recommend the new EZ Cart to all, from the young at heart to the older at heart. I've had the new EZ cart for over a month, and I love love this one too, the wheels are larger in the back, which is awesome, has more room than the older ones, and nicer colors. I would say, anyone whom can afford them the 21' an 25' inch should get at least one ASAP to make your travels a whole lot easier. Once you have owed an Samsonite EZ Cart you will not except anything less. As of now it's the best traveling partner around Town!
