Overhead Bins

I guess overhead storage bins are not created equal. The 21" fits nicely on MD-80's, however, on a American 767 it does not work as those bins are small and on crowded flights I need to gate check the bag. BUMMER!

I want to love this bag. rolls well, light weight, cool look, but two issues.
1. It doesn't hold up well. I have checked the bag once. Afterwards a wheel was nicked up and I had to purchase a new one. The Samsonite name plate popped off after putting the bag in an overhead compartment.
2. I bought this to bring on board, however, the bag won't fit the AA sizer. It is 23.5" long with the wheels (the dimensions shown is without the wheels.) AA's limit is 22".

Fits In Overhead

I fly on American and so far I have had no issue getting this bag in overhead bins on any of their planes. The one complaint I do have is the color. Charcoal is not even close to charcoal. Don't order the Lift in Charcoal unless you like light gray with a lilac hue. I am not kidding! Someone at Samsonite must be color blind because this is the furthest end of gray away from a charcoal color. I am deducting a star for the incorrect color description. Other than that it is a great bag. It doesn't tip when fully packed and upright.

I love this collection. I have bought 2 and used the 21" (only twice) but it did fit in the overhead compartments on Delta planes. I didn't think it would but it did and I love it. It's so light weight and when you're short it is much easier to lift up into the overhead.
Can't wait to buy the whole set.

I bought two of these bags. The bag is fine if you plan to check your luggage. The 21 inch lift won't fit in the overhead bins the wheel sticks out and the bin won't close. I have been a flight attendant for 26 years and was miss led by samsonite. The bag including wheels is more than 21 inches (Luggage alone is 21 inches). I travel standby often and can't check my bags, bummer.
