I have this same model which lasted over 5 years before the stitching started to go out. So I purchased the same bag again. Unfortunately the very first trip with this bag and one of the plastic clips which secures the end of the main zipper to the top of the bag broke. This is very disappointing as I probably made around a hundred trips over the 5 years with the other one (which would be somewhere around 3 to 400 flight legs) without incident until the very last 6 or so.
I do like the bag otherwise and I am hoping this is not a sign that this one will not last 5 years. The old one was always stuffed with 50 to 70 pounds and held up very well. I guess only time will tell.

Zipper problems

Bag is large enough for weekly travel. Holds 4 suits, shirts,and all othr necessary clothing. This bag has everything needed for extended stay or for large, tall person but the zipper tore up after only 1 month of use. It has two zippers and one came out of the track almost immediately. The second came our after i mo. Pick it up from baggabe claim and it is open with torn zipper. Make sure you use bunge cord or some form of belt to keep it from opening during tavel. this is my second garmet bak from Samsonite that did not last because of the zipper. No more for me

I purchased this bag for frequent air travel with suits. It is large enough to hold five suits, shirts, ties, underwear, a spare pair of shoes and a set of workout clothes. I travel every week and it goes with me always. The outer zipper is sturdy and robust. I have yet to hurt this bag; I actually watched it get runover by the baggage crew while boarding the plane once and all was ok. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
