Most disappointed.

The scale has two needles, a black one and a red one. Since there were no instructions in the package, we assumed it was a simple matter of reading the gauge. However we found out that the red needle moved to a certain point and returned to zero after the luggage was weighed. The black one stayed put on what we believed was the actual reading. However the readings were never accurate, and we didn't get the same result twice. It is very disappointing, since Samsonite had us accustomed to better standards. I am sorry I gave family and friends some of these for Xmas! It is not expensive, but it doesn't work, so it's definitely not worth it!

I purchased one of these scales last Friday in Macy's Ft Lauderdale On opening i weighed a bag knowing it was 44lbs My results were 1] 46lbs 2] 51lbs 3]55lbs . Most disappointed as i bought samsonite as it has a great reputation Went back to Macy's next day There the associate got similar reading on trying this scale I got my money back
Will buy another make now

We had purchased this from Bed Bath & Beyond. From all the choices we've had, we chose this one because we figured it's "Samsonite." But after 5 times of lifting our luggage to weigh it, it broke - the needles stopped working and it no longer gave us an accurate reading of how much our luggage weighs. We've only had this item for 3 months or less. I had called the customer service at samsonite who only said try to bring it back to Bed Bath and Beyond to see what they can do about it. I will not recommend this product at all to anyone.
