I'm a graphics design student and I bought this bag for school, hoping it could carry my laptop and graphics tablet. The padded side holds them both snug, but it has much more room for my various chargers/wires, external hard drives, even my ipod, phone and wallet. It's lightweight, but its also very sturdy. I have yet to drop it, but I have no doubt that even if I did drop it, nothing would be damaged inside. It's very well-padded without making it heavy. I can easily carry it around all day to and from classes.
Everything is very easily accessible. I even use it casually. It's a great bag and keeps everything organized and handy. Highly recommended.
